This interesting bowl was made from a Gimlet burl that was imported from Australia. These extremely figured burls have color contrasts, lines and holes throughout that look almost like veins. The piece has a raised and inwardly tapered rim and a natural edge due to the irregular shape of the burl. This piece won 1st place in the bowl category at the 2010 Georgia National Fair.
