This large Ambrosia Maple vessel has incredible ambrosia markings all the way around. Many of them stretch from top to bottom and look like flames along the side. The large bark inclusion adds even more interest. It is topped by a partially polished Michigan “splash copper” finial sealed with clear acrylic to prevent tarnishing. This piece is  finished with over 15 coats of gloss lacquer and then polished and buffed. This piece won Best in Show at the 2012 Arts Clayton Juried Art Show and was purchased for their permanent collection. It also won Honorable Mention in the juried Woodturning show at the 2011 Georgia National Fair.
